Use entryway mats at all exterior doors to trap dirt and moisture before it reaches your rugs. For dining room rugs or those under heavy furniture, use furniture glides or coasters to prevent crushing or indentations. Consider professional area rug cleaning every 1-3 years, depending on traffic and use, to remove deep-seated dirt and refresh its appearance.
